I would be lying if I said I chose to be spiritual. In all honesty, Spirituality found me, wooed me, and then jumped me in. My plan was to be one of few Black American Fashion Designers; I graduated top of the class with a 4.3, I was clearly on my way. I've always had abilities but chose to keep them secret in fear of being judged. It was if no matter what I achieved, life was always there to knock me off track. Being raised in the church, I did what any believer would do, I prayed for answers and offered my life for things to change. Soon after, I started seeing 1:11 and 11:11 on the oven clock, my phone, and on TV. I heard a voice say "look it up dummy", so I did. A week later, there was an offer for Spiritual Development classes, so I signed up. For the 1st time in life, I felt at ease. Of course I was skeptical, but after you experience manifestations without begging (praying), you tend to stay focused. During this time, I also enrolled in Health and Wellness School to become a Certified Life Coach to help Black Women. We do not receive Mental health help due to the stigmatism it portrays. We have been trained to "take it to jesus". Well, We are designed to Help and Heal Ourselves. While attending both schools, I decided to teach myself tarot, something I have always been drawn to. After 6 months, I was live on YouTube with a full cast of black psychics. Since then, I have opened a botanica, worked for psychic hotlines, as well as have an extensive list of clients that have been around since day one. I teach Spiritual Development and Tarot. So when you are wondering why life sucks, sometimes it's the Universe guiding you to your True Journey.
